Villa
Eleni is a reconstructed and modernized traditional Cefalonian family house,
with a large pine-grove garden, pergola-covered courtyard, and extensive sitting-out
terrace which commands panoramic views of endless rolling green hills, the adjacent
islands of Lefkas, Ithaca and the sea.
The
house has recently been completely rewired, replumbed, and partially refurnished.
Accommodation comprises (normal complement up to six people) with divan accommodation
for up to two more in the large living room occupying the entire ground floor.
There are two hot showers, two toilets, refrigerator, and a simple but well
equipped kitchen.
Villa
Eleni stands at the summit of the picturesque hill village of Mesovouni, about
eight km (13 min drive on a good road) from the fishing village and yacht harbour
of Fiscardo, which has several restaurants and shops. Facilities local to the
villa are a small general store (150m) and about 800m away a well-stocked supermarket,
petrol station, post and telecommunications office, medical centre and simple
tavern / restaurant. The famous village, port and fort of Assos are 10km away,
and Argostoli about 45 min drive.
